A conception of something real,
Yet so distorted.
False appearance, make-believe, fool's paradise,
Deceptive, delusional, unrealistic.
Effecting our perception,
This enigmatic phantom,
A simple figment of our imagination.
Struggling to keep its image,
Distorting reality,
To be or not to be?
Tactile or auditory?
Dominating all the senses, and engulfing
Our mind into an artifical world.
Adrenaline rush,
Unusual voices, hush!
Some leading to a disorder,
Others casually penetrating our thoughts.
Factual or not?
Making us distraught.
The phantom lives on.
