You cant let it go

my black balloon

revenged for love

thats out of tune

like a broaken broadway

you left too soon

dizzy life

now is dawn

like that choice

to long gone

now i hear

in disguise

broken promises

the sweetest lies

someone told

the fact untrue

a break in trust was over due

the fifth half of my heart

broken, shattered, and torn in two

Then it all started again

the perfect start to an unborn end

the sweetest lies were told again

my black balloon tied further in

.

I wrote this after i had been hurt and lied to by so many people. After someone i really cared about saw me crying and laughed about it. My black balloon symbolizes how hard it is for me to trust people and open up to them.

I really like the imagery of the black balloon. very good symbol. the poem is kind of choppy but I think that helps portray the theme of the feeling you talk about. good luck in your writing!
