Grandpa

From the day i was born,
and through all of my years,
you have been there for me,
through the laughter and tears.
I want you to see
how much you mean to me.
But today I am terrified
of the day you will leave my side.
The doctors are right,
the cancer is there.
It's a frightful sight;
It's spreading everywhere.
Part of me wants you to stay and fight,
do'nt give up on your life.
The other me wants to stop the suffering,
despite the sadness and pain it will bring.
I cherish each day I have with you;
as you get weaker I do too.
I don't want to have to say good-bye.
but when I do, I know I will cry!

...its so tuching, and loving, and yet so sad. But, its a really amazing poem. I'm sorry though...
