I whisper
Rush, rush, rush
Through life
Be successful, rich, and famous.
This is what the world urges us to do.
Pass, pass, pass
Pass by the hungry,
Someone else will do something.
Go, go, go
Never stop for the roses and sunsets.
There's just too much to do.
Don't take life slowly,
You'll miss out on an opportunity and be left with thorns that will ail you all of your days.
"Rush, rush, rush" shouts the world.
"Slow, slow, slow" whispers me.
In a sea of voices, mine is barely heard.
So no one stops for the beauty of life with me.
Why can't we all just slow, slow, slow
For the child's smile,
For the beggar's hand,
For the intricate beauty of a spider web?
"Slow, slow, slow and live life softly"
Whispers me all alone.
