Breathless
Breathless
 Is how I feel
As the air leaves my lungs
And I am left standing there
A dumbfounded look on my face
 As I try to understand
 What has just happened

 Heartless
 Is how you appear
As you glance over at me
 And you sigh
An annoyed look on you face
 As you try to explain
How much you want me to leave

 It doesn’t matter
If you speak the words or not
 I know what you’re thinking
Because your face is like an open book
And I will always be able to tell
 What you mean
When you forget to tell your friends my name
And don’t include me in anything

 Alone
 Is how I feel
As I watch you walk away
And I am left standing there
A confused expression on my face
As I try to understand what has just happened

 Cold
 Is how you appear
 As you ignore my tears
 And you sigh
A hard look on your face
 As you try to explain
How much you want me to leave

 It doesn’t matter
If I hardly even know you
 Because your intent is clear
 In the words you write
 In the words you speak
And I will always be able to tell
When I am no longer needed here

 Breathless
 Is how I feel
As the air leaves my lungs
And I am left standing there
 Gasping for air
 Trying to breathe
An understanding look spreading across my face
 As I finally realize
 That I am not wanted
And that I will never be needed
