That's HAWT!

A mini dishwasher inside my mouth
Scrub, scrub, scrub
My mouth is alive

Little teeth are saucers
Silently awaiting the rinse cycle
Rumble, Gurgle, Bubble
Sounds of the dishwasher
SPLAT!

Furious bouts of water come
drowning the small dishes
The dishwasher fights to complete its mission
Swish, swish, swash, swish
SPLAT!

The cycle is over
and the saucers are shining
The dishwasher celebrates by shutting down for the night
Only to be started up again
in the morning

The assignment was to make the entire poem one big metaphor while incorporating the use of the onomatopoeia technique.

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

This is really different! I like all the different sounds you incorporated.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain.

This is funny and cute! Good Job!
