A New Beginning
Snow
 It falls
All around me, as I walk
 It engulfs me
 In its whiteness
 The snow
 Is a blanket of white
 It seems
 So soft at times
 But other times
 It’s a scary
 White, death trap
In the midst of a blizzard
 Lies a single
 Red rose
The sign of a new beginning
 Why here,
 Why in a scary place,
 Where plants never grow,
 I shall take this rose
 And begin again
But for now I am stuck
 In a blanket of
 Snow
