Old Wooden House
To some it may be an old wooden house
 Built many years ago
And that little swing set in the trees
Could just be some old dirty toys abandoned in the woods
And that bird feeder in the yard
Could just be an old fashioned piece of wood
But to me it’s so much more
It is my home away from home
The place I picture in my head
 And each and every summer
It is my favorite vacation spot
It may not be a mansion on the beach
 Or an amusement park
But to me it’s so much more
It’s a stroll down the road to the lake
And peaceful nights by the fire making S’mores
 Its family time and laughter
Days filled with swimming and games
And trips to the diner across the street
So when you pass it by
You may not even notice it
But when that old wooden house comes into view
 I can’t help but think
 Summer is here at last
