Ten Minutes
Waiting for you to write back
Waiting for you to come
You said ten minutes
How long has it been?
My hearts pounding
And I wait for you to arrive
You said 'brb'
So where are you?
I'm counting by the seconds
Seeing if you'll speak
You said ten minutes
How long has it been?
Since you said the last thing
You're probably with her
The love of your life
And I'm nothing more
Than a stuttering mess
But still you laughed
At me
And made me smile
Like I haven't before
Made me feel good
Not like the others
Ten minutes
Hours
Days
Weeks
Months
Years
Ten what?
And what is it in the end?
Does it really matter?
In the end, I'm still alone
And you have her
Too shy to speak up
And ask if you've come
She's probably there
And I know I can't have you
Because you love someone
And another loves you
But I promise
I'll still be waiting
Whenever those ten minutes go by.
