I Want to be Blind
i want to be blind,
because i want to love her with
 a set of heightened senses.

scrape out my sockets so that
i might be able to sense every breaking
in her skin and fill it with hope
so as to hold her together.

take my glass keys from me,
because i want to smell the yellow
scent of a smile and the blue scent
of a long day so i know just what to say.

i will trade you my eyes for the
opportunity to hear he whispers from
a hundred miles away so i know all her
secrets and can tell her everything is alright.

take my eyes from my sinning face
so that i might be able better to taste
the estrogen from her lips and
 nectar from her soft kiss.

 i want to be blind,
so that i can finally see how beautiful she really is.
