Just Another Love Story

I built my own tower.
locked myself away.
I wouldn’t even lower you a rope,
to climb up.
But you did.
Broken nails and bleeding hands,
you fought just to come.
To save the princess from her prison,
and show her the sun.
But I never wanted to be saved.
Because I knew once we were together,
nothing could ever make me
want to be apart.
