I’m making a list
of all the things
never
to be done.

Most
will make a list
of what they
most want
to do, before the time
gathers.

In wrinkles
and shiny eyes
sore joints
and gaps in minds,
hearts
previously filled
with faded memories
ready
to disperse into the sky.

But
I’m making a list
of all the things
I wish
I hadn’t done
so that when my time
gathers
into my gaps
and joints
and eyes
and heart,

I may recall all the things
I’m glad I did
knowing
that the regretted ones
have been locked away
on a paper.

And that now
I may disperse into the sky.
