Dusty Orange Sky
Tipped toes dashing, breaking, watching
the syllables' motion, scrawling, moving
Tiny footsteps leading, following
my dusty orange sky
Sun breaking free, soaring, lifting
Tired legs, resting, dipping
in the cool waters, reflecting my face,
though, dimming in the antsy waves
My breath catching, wavering
in its own fatigue, hurting, wishing
for slow-motion existing, living
the days until the bells ring
And under the clouds floating, swimming,
I appear thinking, hoping
that in the long hot days, time ceases to increase
and only find time to rewind
back to the dancing, singing
songs while biking, daydreaming
as my feet hurt from running, jumping
under my dusty orange sky
