The Bottom Drawer of My Heart
I said
 there is nothing
in the bottom drawer of my heart.
 The memories
 have packed up their things
 and moved away.
 The feelings
 have fled to their grave,
 Six feet under my soul.
 I said
 there is nothing
in the bottom drawer of my heart.
 Empty space
for only your love to fill.
 I lied.
 There is something
in the bottom drawer of my heart.

"And remember that whatever discipline you are in, whatever you do, you have one thing that's unique. You have the ability to make art. And for me, and for so many of the people I have known, that's been a lifesaver. The ultimate lifesaver."
