Comatose
Life’s biggest discrepancy
 Paralyzed in endless slumber
Whilst friends and family hover above
Unheard, hoping by some miracle to be heard
 By the victim
 The one losing precious moments
 By the lucky one
The one who gets a break from life’s many toils
 Skips a chapter of age
Becomes the elder without becoming the wiser
And is looked up to with respect
Respect not of the experience gained
 But respect of the discrepancy
The unusual is always the most desired
The one held in highest and lowest esteem
 Secretly envied by all
If one did not fear losing time
 Death
 Perhaps one should consider incapacitation
And life would be all the better
