Into the Darkness
It is dark.
So dark I can feel it all around me.
If there is an exit,
I won’t reach it for a long time.
There are lights in the distance,
But they are artificial.
They do not taunt me,
For I know that they do not ring true.
Too many people go out of the dark
Into those artificial lights.
They will lead you astray,
Blind you from the truth.
To reach the exit
To where I want to go,
I must go away from those lights,
Into the darkness.
For if I go with purpose,
And never hesitate,
If I do not stray,
I will come to the true light.
