"For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." --William Shakespeare

Looking to the vast heavens, I wait
Tedious hours in the doctor’s office can’t top this
Patience fails me, I grow irate
Nothing—no one—has answered, I speak to mist.

It’s as if I’m a rock, lifeless,
No tongue to communicate
Obviously their efforts to listen are in crisis,
This agonizing silence does not compensate.

I question, they say, “Speak louder!”
But this entity refuses me even a nod
My problems grow, they say, “You’re a pouter!”
But this is ridiculous—there is no God.

Vast heavens are only vast heavens
The doctor, anonymous, isn’t in
So what if my bread of belief isn’t leaven?
I guess I’ll just move on, living in sin.

Some of the rhymes do seem a little forced, and I am not completely sure what the poem means, but I do like it because of that.  It's open for interpretation that way.
