You didn't
break down the walls
that I'd built around my heart.
You didn't
find the key
I had kissed goodbye.
You didn't
climb the walls
into my self destructive prison.
No,
you stole
matches and gasoline.
You
burned down the walls
with a fire
I have never felt before.
You are the most
beautiful kind of arsonist
with a spark
in your touch
and a burn
in your kiss.
I can only watch
the flames flicker
as they climb higher
and pray
that rain will not come.
