Just So
I question my heart
 People view me as naive
I see it purely as friendship

 Giving my everything
 Just to be friends
 My caring nature
Beginning to eat away at my soul
 Make it stop!

 Deep breathes relieve my heart
 Gasping crisp air
 Slowly releasing the pain

I’m done with all the aches
 With all the hurt,
 The judgment,
 And the power.

 My feet planted
 Ready for my start
With a brass plate guarding my heart
 I will become,
 Become strong again
 Fighting this battle
 One step at a time
