Untouched by man
Yet you grew inside me
As I held you for the first time
I didn’t know
What was to become of you
I didn’t know of His plan
As I watched you sleep
In the manger filled with straw
My heart filled with love
And now I wonder
If I had known what He planned
Would I still have let you go?
If I had known of your fate,
Would I have let Him take you?
And even though
I believe in God
And I know He is right
I can’t help but wish
You were still in my arms
