My Pain

My love is strong but I hold it back
I cannot be hurt like that again
I know what heartbreak feels like although I am still young
She thinks I don’t understand the pain of it
I do
She thinks I am too young to understand
I’m not
She thinks all I want is anger
All I want is love
I need love as much as anyone else
I’m not someone to be ignored
I’m not someone to be pushed aside
It hurts when she treats me like this
Like a piece of garbage, easily disposed
My love is strong, but I hold it back
