the pursuit of happiness is a most ridiculous notion, if you pursue happiness you'll never find it

a hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver for 5 minutes longer

When I see birds sitting on telephone lines,
Sober little black shadows in a neat little row,
I wonder why they stay.
What I wouldn't give to have wings
And the freedom that comes with them.
Freedom they have,
These somber black shadows,
A freedom they don’t use.
When I see birds sitting on telephone lines,
Sober little black shadows in a neat little row,
I wonder why they stay,
Stuck, and grounded on earth,
Then I ask myself the same thing,
And I realize
The only thing keeping us from flying
Is ourselves.

I would rather you hate me for all that I am then love me for something I'm not.

I love it, it's so true, we wish to have wings but we're the ones holding ourselves back. You are an amazing writer :)
