It's raining
Silver streaks run down
Washing the world clean again
The droplets hit the ground
And dry up with a sizzle
Evaporating on contact
They don't die
But instead, rise up as steam
Swirling towards the sky
Back to the clouds
Where they will form together
And make more raindrops...

Thank you. :) I'm glad the the complicated part shines through, I thought it would be lost under the easy meaning, lol. ;) And more of my work is definitely to come, but if you click on my name, you could read some of the other 20-something poems I have written and published on TeenInk.
