Immortal Panda
I am dead
Of what
Of why
I do not know
I meet him
Death
He looks bored
He swings his scythe
I duck and stare
He sighs irratatedly
He swings again
but stops midway
For I hold out a hand
stopping him in his tracks
I challenge him
He simply laughs
He accepts 'fore asking
what the test will be
I tell him,"Randomness, see?"
Baffled, he sits
for that's new to him
"You've lost," I say
"You are so dim."
I laugh louder
for he's still confused
The reward of the wage?
I give him one thing to do
So now I sit
Immortal and eating slowly
Death sulks
I grow bulk
For I live anew now
Pet my newly made fur
Scratch my short ears
Gloating, I will, now and then
For I accomplished this feat
I am an immortal panda and that,
that can't be beat
