So swollen with hope that it hurts to breath.
So filled with is unable to be pleased.
Yet i walk on not caring what is said.
To be turned down would be worse to be bleed.
I didn't see myself stopping or even on the floor.
Not until that is i walked through the door.
There on stage i stood frozen like hot ice.
I watched the hope vanish with the last of my life.

Wow, this is a great way to describe the feeling. I think it's great even if you don't, but I think I know what you're talking about with the poem. Often enough there's a hidden truth or memory behing one of my poems (Ha. I just realized that could be a pun - one of my poems is titled Memories) that no one else will ever figure out, but maybe it's better that way.

I wish I had woked on getting the point across rather than the burning on the inside as I wrote. Sometimes as a writter it matters most about the peice that no one sees than the feel of the poem. So it was with this. Please see and enjoy.
