The Jewels of Life
Amethysts are steadfast-
Faithful, fast, firm, and fixed.
An amethyst is my honor
And my honor is in my reading.
Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and Robin Hood.
Aquamarines are purpose-
Determined desires of destination.
An aquamarine is my music.
My music is my musicals.
Hairspray, Les Miserables, and Fiddler on the Roof.
Diamonds are forever.
Undying, unbreakable, and unalterable.
A diamond is my faith.
My faith is in my daily life.
Church, school, choir, and friends.
Pearls are wisdom-
Enlightenment through education.
A pearl is my voice
And my voice is my passage to other people.
Building bridges of understanding.
Tanzanite is passion-
Energy, enthusiasm, and enterprise.
Tanzanite is my laugh.
My laugh is in my acting.
The ‘For Narnia!’ or ‘Goonies never say die.’
I am Joyce.
I am amethyst, aquamarine,
Diamond, pearl, and tanzanite.
I am Joy- the jewel of life.
