You let me fall,
Deeper into oblivion,
I though you alone could save me,
With your promise to never leave.
Expectations led me to this,
I believed you would stay,
By my side forever,
Even though past experiences have taught me differently.
My heart beats,
As I free fall,
The happiness I had at the beginning,
Has turned to fear of the future.
What am I without you?
Depressed.
Angry.
Alone.
Free?
I finally hit the bottom,
Not so bad,
I now know where I stand,
On my own two feet again.
