I am From
I am from, "What a perfect family"
From what great kids you have,
I am from a place of lies
Where nothing is what is seems,

I am from the nice house
With a pool and huge yard,
I am from a sad house
The truth is something never spoken,

I am from barbecues in the yard
 Lots of food and friends,
I am from the after party
When I am alone again with a mess,

I am from a good book
Getting lost in its pages is my escape,
I am from my own mind
I dream of things that could never be

 I am from those moments
That I wish had never faded,
I am from the love of my family
Even when it is hard to feel.
