Never Sleeps
I am waiting for my eyes to close.
They do not close.
As my legs begin to tingle I begin to think when the last time I slept.
It has been 300 years.
I hear the pounds of rain coming down from outside.
I heard a mockingbird sing a soft tune.
I slightly waved my head to the tune.
I quickly ran outside, I had become numb.
The sounds of the nocturnal world made me weak. I would never close my eyes, I will never sleep.
I fell to the ground.
