"Experience, that most brutal of teachers; but you learn, my God do you learn."

-C.S. Lewis

Surrendering to the divinity
Returning to an eternity
Walking through a field of gray
Drowning in a heartless bay
Autumn comes, it's finally here
But just as soon, the coldness is clear
Blackness consuming my poor old heart
A marionette, doing my part
Forever shattered
Forever broken
Piercing the redness
Pain the perfect token
You push me away
Your embrace so cold
I cry in remembrance
Of your warm forgotten hold

This is really good! If you wouldn't mind taking a look at my work? It'd be greatly appreciated. Keep writing!

I agree. It is very sad but I love the way you used your words. An amazing poem.
