A Thing With Force

Life is the thing with force,
That lays home deep inside,
Speaks without preparation,
And never ceases to amaze.
Kind as the morning breeze;
And strong as the bricks constructed around,
A strength that may be tested,
But has kept so many from their knees.
I’ve heard its sound in the toughest moments,
And on the most painful days;
Yet, never to the extreme,
For it asks only love from me.
