Thusforth, Untitled
It's always been a mystery
 how Love can take its toll:
 fills a heart with ecstasy
 then lacerates a hole.

 It builds a rainbow bridge of such
 to cross the Lonely Sea.
 A hefty flame the bridge does touch
 to burn and abandon thee.

 It arrives and seeks the misty eyed
 with tears dashed down her face.
 To seize and push the Sad aside
 forcing Hope to take its place.

 It abducts a helpless victim
 and commandeers her heart.
 She won't see a happy outcome;
 she was fooled right from the start.
