Her World
She stared out over her world
Everything that she had ever known
The dark desolate landscape was unimpressive
Hard to believe it was just filled with light
Her world was safe and charming and not enough
The borders contained her too tightly
The sun never stayed long enough
And the moon was never bright enough
She sighed at her world
Full of boredom and regret
For the first time in her life, she turned away
Leaving, unfulfilled and uninterested
