You Bring Out the Love in Me
You bring out the love in me,
The endless trust and faith in me,
The laughter and joy in me,
The simplest of mind in me,
The carefree and light heart in me,
The only true happiness in me.
But do I bring out the same things from you?
Love is often an unreciprocated emotion.
You bring out the jealousy in me,
The endless empty feeling in me,
The dark lonely nights in me,
The wishes and shattered dreams in me,
The bitter and broken soul in me,
The raging hot tears in me.
Though these feelings are not always pleasant,
I can’t help but smile when I think of you.
A smile the reaches from my lips, to my heart,
To the soles of my feet, and back again.
You bring out the love in me.
