Too Young To Hit-Stop Youth Violence
A bruise on the window
To her soul, globs of makeup
 Attempt at concealing it

 A mute code, known
 By all, latent facts
 Perturb some but silence most

 Source unknown
 Kin or foe, equally hideous
 A doing regardless

 Pain creeps into
 The ones who gaze,
 Consumed with helplessness

 Kindled by animosity,
 Fueled by slander. Ending in
A once pretty, now mangled face

A single bystander, too filled with sorrow
 To ignore the victim
 Questions his next action

 Violence comes in waves, starts
 As a ripple, grows until
 A demolished path appears

 Determined to subdue
 The wave, the speechlessness
 Is broken

 Authorities are contacted, promptly
 Witnesses begin to speak out
A new wave forms, one of termination

 Termination of violence, among
 Youth.
 Bygone are “unnoticed” injuries

 Distinct alterations in
 Behavior and attitude, positivity
 Roams freely
