We Stand Alone
Their voices give way to taciturn screams
Their futures void of sanguine dreams
Rapacious is their stomachs that are never full
To think that the commonality could be so cruel!
Eyes that shine bright with UN shed tears
Its admirable, their will to keep going even after all of these lamentable years
Death has become their closest
friend
Even the diminutive ones who are far too young to comprehend
Their surroundings and what's going on despite all the long faces
It has no become a race to see who first can escape these maniacal places
Society has made its point that they are on their own
They expect them to manage themselves when they can't even afford to live in a decent home
It's all for one and one for all
As they sit back and watch how hard we all fall.
