Words
I fell for words on a page,
words that ran past me in cyberspace.
How could I be so stupid?
I let them give me hope,
give me love,
give me life,
make me
me.
But they were just words on a page,
words that ran past me in cyberspace.
It should be no surprise that I am hurting now,
that the tears are flowing now,
that the pain is back.
Because after all
if I'm not good enough for life,
I'm not good enough for words on a page,
in cyberspace.
