Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

I no longer know where I belong.
There is no way back into the light.
The echo of the past is far too strong.
Break the day, then fall the night.

The bones of my city are left cold.
The heat of the flame has died away.
The truths are beginning to unfold.
Yet my nightmares are here to stay.

Trust the angels, they never lie.
I didn’t believe them when they said
My life has slowly passed me by,
And now my life has reached its end.

My last bit of hope I bury alive.
Break every bond of all temptations.
Even in death I manage to thrive.
Now I fear the power of imagination.

I am trapped here forever more.
I don’t know how to leave this place.
There is no gate, there is no door.
All signs of exit have been erased.

I am lost in my dreamscape.
Cinder and ash are all around.
My broken world has no escape.
To its skeleton I am bound.

A silent promise to never fade,
To always feel smoke’s bitter kiss.
To keep my spirit from decay,
And never sink into the abyss.

Heaven cries her heart felt rain drops,
Trying to extinguish my burning soul.
But the fire inside will never stop.
The blaze has gone beyond control.
