Every Girl Should Have her Hero
There is a little girl somewhere
who is taking on the world all by herself
and she’s looking for a hero,
for someone to hold her hand;
for the daddy she loves,
the daddy she thinks she knows
There is a little man somewhere
who is fighting demons that crawl inside him
and he’s looking for weapons swirl-
ing in alcohol and he
has blood in his eyes
and cheap cocaine in his nose
There are happy folks everywhere
who are living without her, who do not care,
and she can’t relate to them,
she can’t even talk to them
where they sit out of reach,
upstream where the world’s crap flows
