It was a girl I dated
She never knew how I longed
A simple thing dance is
But the bond is love
To swing with her was bliss
Something just felt right
She smiled shyly
Something made me dream when a kiss crossed her lips
There was no way to stop the song
But time seems to swing along
Movies are built off ideas
And romance is a thing of hopes
But something was real when she was in my arms
I will never have a perfect date
For she was just a dream
