Atop the bush sits the rose,
as beautiful as ever.
Atop the bush sits the rose,
left alone to face the weather.
Atop the bush sits the wilting rose,
her life slipping away.
Atop the bush sits the wilting rose,
her petals don't want to stay.
Here they come to fix her up,
but there's nothing they can do.
Here they come to cut her down, leaving that sticky goo.
Here they come to plant some more,
but they forget to give her showers.
Here they come once again,
after 24 hours.
