The Human Condition
I descend into a tunnel of despair
 Tripping over fabrications like tacky throw rugs.
 In one second’s time:
 Your words have changed from a sugary sweet graham
 Into a tapestry of lying slime
 Moving me sluggish
 And rendering me incapable of devising escape;
 A smile once golden glown by the great majestic sun
 Altered into a faucet of artifice,
 Spewing heaping maggots of deceit
 To feast upon my weeping heart.
 How these eyes have fallen victim to trickery.
 How this mind has shielded from ambidexterity.
 How this heart has gone unfollowed.
 I blame not myself…
 I blame The Human Condition.
