"Sometimes people put up walls, not to keep others out. but to see who cares enough to tear them down."

My body boils like a pot of hot water.
My legs turn into armies in an important battle.
My heart rages as if flames are curling around it.
I keep my mouth shut.
Wishing not to offend anyone.
My fists become talons trying to show my true emotions.
I keep a steady stare making sure to protect my back.
I breathe harder now.
The air feels thick.
I feel the bomb ticking inside me.
My mind races with horrific thoughts.
I want to scream, shout and wail,
But pride is keeping me hostage.
The more my mind races,
The larger the flames get,
The longer the bomb ticks,
The more my anger becomes.
Hatred.

I know I feel like this more than I should but I hope that you feel connected to this poem the way I am.
