Homeward
Home is wherever you are
And I’m having trouble finding home sweet home
I’m searching through the foggy air
The branches catch me here and there
I do all I can to get to you

I want to see you, but I feel so blind
I want to hold you, but I ran out of time
I want to hear you, but my head is under water
I want you with me; how can I be a daughter
 Without my home.

Into black bags, I threw away the past
Feeling empty, not once looking back.
This cancer is spreading through halls
 Collapsing, breaking me down,
I will not fall. I’ll make you proud

I want to see you, but I feel so blind
I want to hold you, but I ran out of time
I want to hear you, but my head is under water
I want you with me; how can I be a daughter
 Without my home.

Home is wherever you are, so come find me.
