To Be Blind
To be blind
To never see the hard, cold ground that staggers our feet
To be birthed with the privilege of shelter
To hide from the cruel visions of the world
 To be blissfully ignorant
To believe without seeing and feel without looking
To know in the purest way
To bear no prejudice or grudges of looks
To not grasp the sheer concept of sight
To have gifts and senses none could parallel
To not know any other, “better” way,
To be blind from the start,
Your eyes would never break your heart.
