This Poem's for You
This poem is for you,
Not for anyone else,
Because you are unique,
Like a handful of sea shells.
I’m writing this for you,
For your blonde hair and blue eyes,
You’re a beautiful person,
Don’t you listen to those lies!
You make me laugh,
You make me smile,
You make me giggle,
You make it all worthwhile.
We’ll take this life,
We’ll make it ours,
We’ll sit and talk
And laugh for hours.
I’m still alive,
And it’s because of you.
Who could do that?
The number is few.
Before I met you,
My life was horrid,
Every single thought,
Was indeed very morbid.
Then you came along,
Gave me a sliver of hope
Along with your heart,
And I could no longer mope.
I stayed for you,
For your hugs and your love,
And because of that,
You lift me high above
