You'll Never Have The Real Me
You can take a piece of me,
you can take my things,
you can take my books,
you can take my good mood too.
But you’ll never have some things.
You’ll never have my heart,
never have my mind,
and you sure can’t take my opinion.
You may wish it,
maybe you want it,
but you’ll never have it.
You’ll never take my smile,
my laughter,
my ambition.
Sad, someone would want to steal that too.
You can’t take my spirit,
you’ll never stop me from seeing past the Hollister and Aero,
to the cracked soul behind it.
You can take my life,
If it makes you feel better,
But you’ll never stop my memory.
You’ll never take my dream,
You’ll never have my soul.
It bears my marks,
the idea of me,
and my scars.
But you’ll never have it.
Never, Never, Never...
