“It will be better”
How empty that sounds
Banking on an intangible promise
But what is there to live for without that hope
Without someone on your team
How are there ways to go at it alone
To trust no one
Walls up high
When you are meant to fail, to sink
I won’t give up the ship.
If your foundations crack under pressure
If your heart is beating to death
If you’re drowning in your own mind
I won’t give up the ship.
