The Sea.
By: Madeline Zerr

I love her more than you would ever know.
I know her better than anyone else.
She's always been there for me through my life of turmoil.
I was thrown out to die and she stayed by my side at all times.
When I needed her most she let me land softly in her open arms.
She carried me to safety right before a storm.
Even today she carries me where I need to go,
Never failing to get me to the right place.
She's a rare beauty, one only described in books, songs, and poems.
And, as long as I respect her she respects me.
She's loving and caring, yet, at any moment she could kill me with a swift hand.
I will never leave her side it would hurt too much.
She's everywhere I go.
For 13 years we were apart.
But when I returned she loved me all the same.
And don't ever try to separate us again.
She will get mad and show you her wrath,
As I sit back and laugh!

Never forget to smile.

This was nice for a first work. I think you should try to make it with more of a meter and a swifter flow so that it would feel like the sea. For example, when you are describing how the sea is calm, use a softer tone, and when you are describing how the sea is harsh, use an angrier tone. Hope this helped!

"I would rather hated million times for what i did then loved a million times for what i didn't do." - Daniel Moto
" I've sought out to be the best i could posibly be but when i hit a roadblock in life what did i do, i had two choices either stay at the roadblock or i take this roadblock and make of it and go around it and achieve my goal. So, what will it be?"- Daniel Mathia

"People take love like its a four letter word or just a phrase that you tell people or your friends all the time. But in reality love is much bigger than a merely phrase or 4 letter word. Instead love is a genuine promise or covenant to that special person."-Daniel Mathia

“Why change yourself when you were made perfect and wonderfully by the creator of everything?” – Daniel Mathia

“If live is not hurtin then were really not living in.” – B. Reith

That was an awesome poem. I really liked your message and your desrciptions.
