Beautiful
The way your breath fogs up the glass on a rainy day
Looking out the car window
When you know
You are only one person in this huge world
And its up to you
To make your life count
To make sure you amount to something
To ensure that you surmount your wildest dreams
It is beautiful
The way a baby’s skin feels
So soft and smooth
Unblemished by the stains of society
Raw and new, the beginning of something
Giving hope that there is something amazing in this world
Something sacred
It is beautiful
The way a father holds his son’s hand tight
As they are about to cross the night-filled street
Shielding him unknowingly
From any speeding cars or rampant trucks
Willing to die
To protect his son
Claiming him with that hand
Unwilling to let him go
The strength of their love
It is beautiful
The way lovers look into one another’s eyes
Holding tight
As they begin a lifetime of discoveries
Of love and passion
The early seed growing as they sit there
It is beautiful
Life.
Life is beautiful.
